Peter Lai has more than 36 years of experience in the financial industry including central banking, investment banking, private banking, stockbroking and asset management. He holds a MA degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge in England (1983), and a CFA charter holder from the CFA Institute, USA (1992).

He currently sits on board of Champ Buyout III, which is part of the Australian CHAMP Private Equity that manages a substantial buyout fund from institutional investors.  He also holds the position of Executive Director of Riverside Asia Partners in Singapore, a US based private equity asset management company. Peter is active in both professional, corporate governance and community activities.

He has sat on boards of more than 20 listed companies in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and the UK over the past 20 years, mainly as lead independent director and chairman of audit committee.  His current professional engagement includes being editorial board member of the CFA Digest and inquiry panel member of the Singapore Law Society.



Daniel is an Executive Director of boutique Mergers & Acquisitions advisory firm Blue Ocean Capital Partners.  He started with Blue Ocean in 2009 as an Associate Director, overseeing all legal due diligence matters. 

Daniel is also an Executive Director of Singapore-listed company Viking Offshore & Marine Ltd.  He is the Managing Director of Viking’s wholly-owned subsidiary Viking Asset Management that acquires and charters offshore and onshore assets.  His work includes acquiring a 1,500 hp train-type land rig that is in a long-term charter with a Pakistani conglomerate, operating in Morocco, Africa.  Daniel is also the Managing Director of another wholly-owned subsidiary Promoter Hydraulics that designs, builds, tests and delivers bespoke winches and power packs.  Under his leadership, Promoter has delivered more than $20 million worth of products to international shipyards and ship and rig owners.

Prior to Blue Ocean, Daniel was the Special Assistant to the CEO in Singapore-listed company Advance SCT Limited.  His work included corporate finance, helping the Company raise S$50.0 million in a secondary placement exercise.  He was also involved in institutional fund-raising, having travelled to the US and Europe to meet with institutional investors.  He also helped the Company start and operate a new joint venture partnership in Monterrey, Mexico.

Daniel sat on the board of Singapore-listed company Nico Steel Holdings Ltd from 2009 to 2016 as a Non-Executive Director.  He has also been serving as a Non-Executive Director of Singapore-listed company Ann Aik Ltd since 2012.  Daniel was also a member of the Finance Committee with the Singapore Institute of Directors 2010 to 2012.  He graduated with an honours degree in law in 2007 from Bristol University, United Kingdom.



Macarthur is an associate director of Blue Ocean Capital. Prior to joining Blue Ocean Capital, he was performing restructuring and forensic accounting consultancy at Kordamentha, an Australian based consultancy firm. He was involved in advising on acquisition deals ranging from US$30 million – US$50 million and assisted on restructuring of a state-owned enterprise in the pacific islands’ region. On the forensic accounting front, he was involved bid rigging investigations for contracts worth S$ 30 million for a Singapore-listed company. 

Macarthur has also sat on the boards of investment holding companies, managing a variety of assets including debt instruments, global equities and wastewater treatment plants.
